Clinres Farmacija Group was established by Dr Dunja Vujić Podlipec, as a CRO in 2000 when it opened its first office in Ljubljana, Slovenia . Dr Podlipec has over 20 years of experience in both clinical and basic research in the pharmaceutical industry and continues as the President and CEO for Clinres Farmacija in Slovenia.
Due to the large demand for and consequent growth in the number of clinical trials in the South East Europe region, the Clinical Research Department has been moved to our newly opened (2004) office in Zagreb, Croatia where our Director of Clinical Research Romana Kajfež, M. Sc. also acts as the Croatian CEO. With her strong background in the Pharmaceutical industry spanning both science and marketing, Romana brings extensive and valuable expertise to the CF Group.
Sustained growth has led to the opening of a branch office in Belgrade, Serbia in 2007 followed by representative offices in Sarajevo, B&H and Skopje, Macedonia in 2008.
Another family member, Dr Tanja Kajfež Novak, is our Regulatory and Scientific Affairs Manager (DRA and CT) manages Regulatory affairs and business development for the Group. Dr Tanja Kajfež Novak, with her strong academic and scientific research background also acts as our CEO for Serbia, B&H and Macedonia. Collectively, the Kajfež family has already made a substantial contribution pharmaceutical activities in this region, with Dr Franjo Kajfež being the author of numerous patents for Krka and Belupo and notably the inventor of „Apaurin." Consequently, Clinres Farmacija Group has a reservoir of experience as well as contacts which provides good access to potential research sites and relevant institutions throughout the region.
We felt very strongly that there was a place in the market for an independent company that would provide a flexible personalized service. Careful staff selection and ongoing training have resulted in a dedicated team that shares the company’s goals and helps drive it forwards. We have developed an excellent working environment and pride ourselves on our high level of staff retention -- several of our key staff have been with us from the early days including Mrs. Bozena Sucic, B.Sc. Pharm., Mrs. Maša Morsan, MD and Mrs. Alenka Šmid, B. Sc. Pharm.
The consistently high quality performance of our CRAs owes much to the commitment and skills of our CTL/PMs.
